Our Story

Jeff Colgan

With zero experience, a tiny budget and a strong work ethic, I opened The Mission in October 2015.  My original vision for The Mission was to create a place like no other in the community where people could socialize, try some unique food and cocktails, and to quote the great Billy Joel... forget about life for awhile.  As we approach our 10th year, that vision remains true to this day.

If you've been to The Mission periodically over the last 9 years, you've seen us transform our menu, interior, exterior and just about everything else under our roof multiple times.   The Mission is more than just a place to get something to eat and drink.  It's my creative outlet and my hope is that I created a space where you can't help but feel excited every time you come to visit.  The atmosphere, food and cocktails are all continually inspired by my travels, my passions, and my loved ones.  

The Mission is a project that defies just about everything traditional in the restaurant industry.  If you have your heart set on the traditional dining experience, we might not be your best option.  What you will get at The Mission is an owner operated small business that cares about its customers, its staff, its product and its community.   I feel like that's the right way to operate a business and I hope that you feel and appreciate the difference.
